Shift Range Inhibited. I got 2003 gmc sierra 6.6L diesel and my transmission is acting up 346K miles on everything and a couple days ago I started having some trans. This can be triggered by different issues other than just low fluid and the wrong RPM.

When I go to shift into gear (reverse or drive) on the dash a message appears "Range Shift Inhibited," and the truck does not engage into gear So far I have; change both internal and spin on filters, bored out the E valve, cleaned the valve body, replaced the NSBU/PRNDL switch (whatever you want to call it), replaced the internal wiring harness, and replaced the TCC solenoid all in that order 346K miles on everything and a couple days ago I started having some trans.
